Jerry McCoy
After a career in leading community banks in Hinsdale, IL, for nearly 40 years, and after researching retirement communities across the U.S., we chose Ventana Canyon. Dritha and I reside at 7222 E. Desert Moon Loop. We have thoroughly enjoyed our membership in the Club here, as well as that of Hinsdale Golf Club (Est. 1898) for many years. As a function of that involvement we have an appreciation, and a strong desire, for high quality service amidst high quality facilities. We believe that high quality is best assured when members are Club owners, controlling the Club's destiny through the finest professional management available. I enthusiastically joined the Organizational Committee of Ventana Canyon Alliance early in 2003 to assist in the creation of a vehicle which would enable the broadest possible base of members and property owners to become Club owners. I am proud that we can now present the plan to achieve a shared quest for stable, dependable, member-driven ownership which will demand first-class service, facilities and excellent management throughout the Club.
Anything short of achieving success in the mission to create member/property owner title to the Club puts us in jeopardy of having this jewel of a place put on the open, international market. To fail could yield: diminished quality of Club environment, have a negative effect upon membership value, as well as have a dampening effect upon property values.
